1)    When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer, and what has your path looked like to get here?

As a pre-teen, I was inspired by The Diary of Anne Frank. Diaries and poetry became my earliest forms of self-expression. Eventually, I branched into songwriting, essay writing, and academic writing. As a psychotherapist, I wrote short psychoeducational pieces and newsletter columns. Now I write psychology and self-help pieces for Psychology Today and other publications. My book, Frazzlebrain: Break Free from Anxiety, Anger, and Stress Using Advanced Discoveries in Neuropsychology, was published in 2022 by Central Recovery Press.

2) What sparked the idea for this particular book?

As a licensed psychotherapist, I often recommend self-help books to my clients to supplement their therapy goals. Most of the books that addressed anxiety tended to create feelings of anxiety in readers, with their long checklists of symptoms and dangers. I saw a need for a book that could create a sense of calm in readers, while providing helpful evidence-based tools.

3) If you could go back and tell yourself one thing at the beginning of this journey, what would it be?

Boldly step into your authority when you write the book only you can write.

4) Where can readers connect with you?
