1) When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer, and what has your path looked like to get here?

I realized I wanted to be a writer in elementary school and was very lucky to be encouraged by high school teachers. I was actually given a writing coach, a teacher who was a writer for The Green Hornet radio show, and a tiny room to myself for one hour a day. I grew up in Hollywood, near Hollywood Blvd and was successful in debate.

2) What sparked the idea for this particular book?

My 7 books all are inspired by my own love experiences and also by the fascinating true events of the times, significantly, the Holocaust. I later became a creative writing teacher for a junior high and recognized talented students, among them my daughter, Marni Freedman. I saw her talent when she was twelve!

3) Where can readers connect with you? (This is a good place to share website, socials, a book ordering link, and any upcoming events!)
