1) When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer, and what has your path looked like to get here?
We started writing short stories and poems in our early teens, then moved on to songs, plays, musicals, screenplays, and articles for publications such as the Hollywood Reporter and Written By, the official magazine of the Writers Guild of America West, and most recently, our debut novel, Chasing Shadows.
2) What sparked the idea for this particular book?
Our novel was inspired by the true story of Christina’s father’s disappearance and our search to find him and uncover the truth about his secret life.
3) If you could go back and tell yourself one thing at the beginning of this journey, what would it be?
The writer’s journey is one of self-discovery and is worth every drop of blood, sweat, and tears. With this particular story, we learned that uncovering family secrets is easier said than done. The process may take years, so be patient and enjoy the ride.
